Based in Dorridge, Solihull, The Blanning Centre provides a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke-related conditions, and other memory challenges.
Our experienced and compassionate team deliver person-centred care designed to promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing. Through a wide range of engaging activities, social interaction, and tailored support, we help each client make the most of every day while offering peace of mind to families and carers.

The Blanning Centre is part of charity The Family Care Trust which has operated for 30 years in Solihull and the surrounding area. Our missions is:
“To provide professional care and support services that respond to individual needs. Promoting independence, dignity and choices in order to maintain or improve a person’s quality of life.”
At The Blanning Centre, our daily activities are thoughtfully designed to stimulate the mind, encourage movement, and build meaningful connections. Whether enjoying armchair yoga, exploring memories through interactive OMI technology, or completing jigsaws and puzzles, clients benefit from structured routines that support cognitive function and emotional wellbeing. These therapeutic activities are especially valuable for individuals experiencing dementia and memory problems, helping them stay engaged and connected.
We also provide regular trips out into the local Solihull community, giving clients the opportunity to enjoy familiar surroundings and new experiences in a safe and supported way. These outings help reduce feelings of isolation, strengthen social confidence, and bring joy to those who may find it difficult to access the community independently. Combined with compassionate day care support,
The Blanning Centre offers a holistic approach that enhances quality of life for both clients and their families. With a variety of care packages available, we aim to offer flexible opportunities for those want to access our service.
